Insurance Executives Say Ongoing Budget Battles Will Harm U.S. Economy

Leaders of the property/casualty insurance industry believe Washington’s ongoing budget fracas will have a negative impact on the U.S. economy, according to a survey conducted by the Insurance Information Institute at its 17th annual Property/Casualty Insurance Joint Industry Forum, held in New York on Jan. 15.

Ninety-five percent of executives in the property/casualty industry believe this is so. In addition, 74 percent of leaders think the federal government is interested in further expanding its regulatory oversight of insurers.

Three Regional Insurance Executives Join The Buckner Co.

The Buckner Co. named Ryan Loftin, Jeremy Stucki and Micah Zabriskie to the Salt Lake City, Utah-based firm’s executive ranks.

Loftin will work out of the firm’s Salt Lake City, Utah office, while Stucki and Zabriskie will be based in the Ogden, Utah office.

Loftin, Stucki, and Zabriskie have worked with commercial clients from a variety of backgrounds, including contractors, oil and gas companies, auto dealers, farm equipment retailers, building material suppliers, and retailers and restaurateurs.

The Buckner Co. also offers specialty niche market services, including personal homeowner and auto insurance, employee benefits, trucking and transportation insurance, and surety bonding.
