Fireman’s Fund Names VPs of Programs and Professional Liability

NOVATO, Calif.-based Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. named Jay Dipasupil to vice president of programs, and Dan Reed to vice president of professional liability.

Dipasupil will lead Fireman’s Fund’s programs business. He will be responsible for providing strategic and operational direction and achieving profitable growth.

Dipasupil has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently he led the specialty solutions group at Chartis and was responsible for the development and execution of underwriting, production and distribution management for its professional liability products. Prior to Chartis, Dipasupil held underwriting and leadership roles with Travelers and Zurich.

Reed will be responsible for managing the professional liability line of business and driving profitable growth.

Reed has more than 20 years of insurance experience and an expertise in professional liability. He has managed teams responsible for lawyers’ professional liability, accountants’ professional liability, real estate errors & omissions, and insurance agents and brokers errors & omissions. Prior to Fireman’s Fund, Reed worked for Travelers, St. Paul Companies and Great American Insurance Cos.

Fireman’s Fund is a member of the Allianz Group, one of the world’s largest providers of property and casualty insurance.

Fireman’s Fund Names Chanana to Senior Vice President

Novato, Calif.-based Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. named Arun Chanana as senior vice president of distribution and agency management.

Chanana will be based in Fireman’s Fund’s Liberty Corner office in New Jersey.

Chanana will provide strategic and operational direction for the distribution and agency management team, which is responsible for enhancing agent and broker relationships by driving accountability and alignment.

Chanana is a 25-year insurance industry veteran. His career includes positions as an underwriter, broker and management consultant. Most recently, Chanana served as vice president at national brokerage USI Holdings Corp. He also held leadership positions with AIG NSM Insurance Group, Munich Re, Aon, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte.

Fireman’s Fund is a member of the Allianz Group.

Fireman’s Fund Names Tobias Southern California Territory Sales Director

Linda Tobias has been named territory sales director in Southern California at Novato, Calif.-based Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co.

Tobias will assume the position for personal insurance with responsibility for agencies in the San Diego and the Los Angeles areas. She will be responsible for working with partner agencies to manage relationships and develop new business opportunities.

Tobias has 25 years’ experience in insurance, including experience on the agency/broker side of the business having worked with both PLI Brokerage and an independent regional firm in Southern California. She previously worked at Fireman’s Fund from 2002 to 2005.

Fireman’s Fund Partners with Allianz to Expand Entertainment into Canada

Novato, Calif.-based  Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. in partnership with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty have created an experienced underwriting team to further expand its entertainment division and capabilities in North America.

With the addition of this team, Fireman’s Fund has more than 90 entertainment underwriters, customer service, claims and risk services experts in Burbank, Santa Monica, Dallas, Minneapolis, New York City, London, and now Toronto.

The team will be led by Lynne Pepper, an entertainment underwriter with more than 20 years of experience, and will focus on expanding Fireman’s Fund entertainment business across a variety of segments, including film, television, D.I.C.E., special events, music, and contingency coverages. The team will also include entertainment underwriting veteran Natalie Reynolds and customer service specialist Robyn McMahon. The team previously worked at Travelers Canada.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty will handle all aspects of Canadian entertainment business through appointed entertainment agents and brokers.
